Guidelines for Visa on Arrival for UAE Nationals
Visa-on-Arrival facility is available to the citizens of the UAE, who had earlier obtained e-Visa or regular/paper visa for India.
UAE nationals would be required to fill an application from (Annexure -A) on arrival and present the same at visa counter on arrival along with duly filled disembarkation card (online filling is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival/ or through "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam" Mobile Application).
Eligibility
- UAE nationals visiting India for a period not exceeding 60 days and for business, tourism, conference and medical purposes.
- UAE nationals holding a passport with a minimum validity of six months.
- This facility is not available to any person if he/she or either of his/her parents or grandparents (paternal or maternal) was born in or permanent resident of Pakistan. Such persons can visit India only on appropriate visa obtained from Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi or Consulate General of India, Dubai.

Fee
A fee of Rs. 2,000/- or equivalent in foreign currency per passenger (including children), will be charged.
Validity
Visa-on-Arrival will be valid for entry and stay in India within the period of its validity subject to the conditions specified.
Visa on Arrival shall be non-extendable and non-convertible.

Q1. Is Visa-on-Arrival facility available to all UAE nationals?
Visa-on-Arrival facility is available only to those citizens of the UAE, who had earlier obtained e-Visa or regular/paper visa for India.
Visa-on-Arrival facility is not available to any UAE nationals, if he/she or either of his/her parents or grandparents (paternal or maternal) was born in or permanent resident of Pakistan. Q2. What are the other requirements/conditions to avail the VoA facility?
- A valid passport with at least six months' validity and two blank pages
- A completed VoA application form and disembarkation card
- Proof of sufficient funds, stay and a return/onward ticket may be required
Q3. If I have renewed my passport and the new passport does not carry old Indian regular paper visa, am I still eligible to get VoA?
Yes, provided you had earlier obtained an e-Visa or a regular paper visa for India.
Q4. If I had obtained e-Visa or regular paper visa to India but not traveled to India, am I still eligible to get VoA?
Yes, you are eligible for VoA if you had obtained an e-Visa or a regular paper visa for India irrespective of whether you had visited India or not.
Q5. Please explain what categories of visas are available under VoA?
VoA is available for Business, Tourism, Conference and Medical purposes.
Q6. How long can I stay in India with a VoA?
You can stay for upto 60 days or make two visits within a 60 day period upon getting a double entry VoA valid upto 60 days.
Q7. Which airports in India provide VoA facility?
The facility of VoA is made available at 09 (Nine) designated International airports in India viz. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Kochi, Calicut and Ahmedabad.
Q8. Is there any application form to be filled?
Yes. The visitor is required to submit duly filled in VoA application form (Annexure -A) along with duly filled in Disembarkation Card (online filling is available at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival/ or through "Indian Visa Su-Swagatam" Mobile Application).
The format of the VoA application form is also available at https://boi.gov.in/sites/default/files/Annexure-1.pdf which can be downloaded, printed and presented to the Visa Officer at the Visa counter upon arrival.
Q9. What is the visa fee charged?
A fee of Indian Rupees 2,000/- or equivalent in foreign currency per passenger (including children) will be charged before issuing visa.
Q10. How many times in a year a person can avail this facility?
There is no restriction on the number of times a person can avail this facility.
